How do you define Krystyl? What do you want people to know about you?

Krystyl is defined as a Transparent Stone. She is fragile, yet strong enough to face and overcome many different seasons in her life. She has a heart for others; and prides herself on displaying it. She is down to earth; relatable and very principled. She does not depend on her own strength or abilities and gives all credit and Honor to the Lord Jesus Christ.

What part of your job fulfills you?/ What do you love about what you do?

As a Certified Life Coach, you have to love what you do. There is no money in world enough to pay our way to happiness. I am most fulfilled after every coaching sessions that ends with a greater sense of understanding and assurance. I am really passionate about coaching others into their rightful positions in life; and desired ambitions. When I coach someone who struggled with execution, commitment, even vision or any other hindrance but 'all of sudden' hits the ground running - I know that it is a reward of my successes as Coach. It reminds me that I am properly positioned. I too get inspired by my coaches.

What motivates or inspires you on a daily basis? As someone who works to evoke ambition and motivation in others how do maintain your own positivity?

I am motivated daily by my relationship with God. I am further inspired by the transformation going on in my life on a daily basis, just by deepening my relationship with God. Nothing inspires me more than God's desire for me to maximize my own potential as well as help others do the exact same thing or better. I believe in others just as much as I believe in myself; and that is big because I have a huge vision.

How does your faith as a Christian woman impact the work that you do? Do you integrate any philosophies of your religion when giving personal advice?

As a Christian woman, I've been mindful to understand that my lifestyle makes me unique. It attracts many but it also turns many people off - which I am okay with. I understand that I am not for everyone. I build a lot of my coaching modules and structures from bible principles. Quite honestly, they work for non-believers as well. Personal advice - I aim to be very practical and aware of a person's faith before giving advice. All my advice is given in Love.

How do you create a work-life balance?

It is important that one have a work-life balance. While it is not easy to create the balance, life will force you to walk away from the very things you once loved to do. I learned to create this balance prior to feeling the need to. I try not to allow my physical frame of my body and/or my life to distract me for my aim to maximize potential. It is important to understand your own capacity and tenacity when creating your balance. Life will feel less stressful and sound less noisy.

How do you suggest one overcomes ‘Imposter Syndrome’?

Imposter Syndrome is a thing; a common thing! It is one of the most common reasons for anxiety (feeling choked) and depression. Whether said or unsaid it should be addressed. Everyone who is alive deserves to be successful and fulfilled in their 'garden.’ What I mean is, everyone had been given at least one assignment on earth and we're given the assignment because the skills, talents and resources have been made accessible to us. We need to be present in our 'garden' in order to give it meaning and life. For this reason, it is important that we believe in our ability to carry forth what we've been given to do. It is important that we are spiritually health and not limp. Imposter Syndrome causes one to sit on what they should be carrying. Believing in others more than ourselves is not okay. We must make it a habit to believe ourselves, understand the meaning of the grace given to us, affirm how great we are and believe it; & know that we are deserving of the good of the land.

It is important that we stop comparing our lives, processes, pace and seasons to others. You are not a failure! You are not a fraud. You are not born perfect! We all make mistakes, we have all failed at something and had courage enough to try again. Every success story has pain behind it! Do not despise the days of small beginnings, as quoted in the Bible.

What are your tips for navigating a male-dominated industry?

Prior to now I worked many years in corporate america, in a male-dominated industry. Where it is apparent that women are considered the lesser or weaker vessel. Last fall, I partnered with a group of coaches at ESPN. While there, we addressed this very issue when it came to Executive Female Leaders in the industry who felt stuck, suppressed, overlooked and pushed over. Navigating this kind of pressure takes a lot of courage and coaching - and it is the most effective way to navigate and overcome the fear and insecurity within our industries. Understanding our worth, not settling but also being tactful in all our approaches makes a huge impact. We have to know that we are constantly branding ourselves, so character is extremely important. Executive presence is important but most importantly having a vision. Navigating with assistance is key.

Do you have any upcoming projects in the works?

Currently, I have a hold on the Coaching workbooks (until early 2020). However, this fall I will be launching Coaching promo packages to help with preparation for next year 2020. In these packages I will be assisting with maximizing potential - vision, discovering and refining purpose, life planning, organizing, etc. As of right now, we have affordable Coaching package rates available.
